"ANNIE" Paint Palette: Deco Art Americana: Antique White Rookwood Red Traditional Burnt Umber Black Plum Mink Tan True Red Black Burnt Sienna Tangerine Any brand spray paint a light color Delta Perm Enamel Clear Gloss Glaze or Satin Glaze Prep. of jar or bottle: Remove any labels, make sure jar or bottle is clean and dry Spray light coats of paint on the jar and let it dry before I went onto the next coat. When ever I have sprayed painted something before, I always rush the process and just keep spraying and spraying until I can't see through the jar or bottle and then the paint runs! So don't do it like that! Just nice light coats, let dry inbetween coats and when you can no longer see through the jar or bottle and it is completely dry, you are ready to apply the acrylic base coat! Basecoat the jar with Antique White. Face: basecoat with Mink Tan. Shade with Traditional Burnt Umber Eyes, eyelashes, eyebrows and stitches of mouth paint on with Black.. X's in eyes are Light Buttermilk. Float Light Buttermilk on one side of each eye. Nose stitches paint on with Burnt Sienna. Add a few Traditional Burnt Umber stitches here and there. Float Rookwood Red down one side of nose. Hair basecoat with Rookwood Red. Shade with Black Plum. Highlight with True Red. Cheeks pounce on with Rookwood Red. (use a small stencil brush) Hair bows are basecoated with Tangerine. Shade next to know with Burnt Sienna. Add LIght Buttermilk dots Dry brush highlight at ends of bows with Light Buttermilk. Collar; basecoat with Light Buttermilk. Shade all around with Traditional Burnt Umber. Stitches around collar are Tangerine. Flower petals basecoat with Tangerine. Center is painted with Tradtional Burnt Umber. Outline flower with Traditional Burnt Umber. String around neck connected to tag paint in with Traditional Burnt Umber. Tag: basecoat with Antique White. Shade all around tag, inside and out with Traditional Burnt Umber. "Annie" lettering is done with Rookwood Red, then go over it with True Red. Make a dip dot heart over the letter " i". Dry brush highlight center of tag with Light Buttermilk. Tag on the back of the bottle is done the same way as the tag around her neck. String and bow around neck of bottle. Basecoat with Rookwood Red. Add True Red here and there for highlights. You will have to draw your own string and bow attached to the big tag in the back of bottle. Make it work for whatever bottle or surface you are painting on, or leave it out! Rim of my bottle is painted with Tangerine. Shade around top and bottom of rim with Burnt Sienna. Add Light Buttermilk Dots. To finish: apply Clear Gloss Glaze or Satin Glaze with a foam brush. Completely cover the bottle or jar. Let dry, it takes about 10 minutes! To print the pattern below, right click anywhere on Annie and save to your own hard drive. It is in a picture format (.jpg) and will save just like you save a picture. Then you wil be able to print it out easily. |
